Just got the internet hooked up an hour ago. Lots of stuff to share, but I'm too tired! We have about 1/3 of the house unpacked - our bedrooms, the kitchen, and the bathroom :p
Moving day went well - we had LOTS of help (thanks everyone!)
Chloe loves the new house. Bella seems to like it as well. Ginger has finally stopped hissing and growling, but we haven't let them downstairs yet, so I see more scared cats in our future.
Hopefully we'll be back to normal soon!

It's moving day!!!
I woke up early; I'm too excited to sleep! Dare and I stayed up until 1:30am, packing all the last bits and pieces. As you can tell, the computer isn't packed yet :p We won't have internet at the new house until Tuesday, so you may not hear from us until then!

Anticipation
Only 1.5 days until we move!!! We're (mostly) packed up here, and even the cats are getting excited. Well, they're worried that we're going on a trip and leaving them :p
Chloe asks everyday if we're going to the new house, so we know she's excited as well.
We've got a bunch of family and friends who are going to help, and thus we have plenty of pizza and beer (and margaritas, of course) to thank them!
On a completely unrelated note, Chloe has been using the potty often over the last few days, and so we're hoping the move (and subsequent daycare change) won't derail her progress too much.
Oh, and she can do somersaults now!

Gee, I'm not sure if you like it.
Whenever she sees something she likes, Chloe usually says one of the following:
"Ooooh, that's cute!" (or beautiful, or neat)
"Oh, I like that." (usually referring to something on my crafts desk)
"Is that for me?"
"Can I have it?"
"I like that!"
Or some combination of the above. Sigh.

Ack, typo!
I haven't looked at this blog since my last post, so I didn't notice the typo. It's gone, if you're looking for it ;)

A backseat driver already
As we were driving to Donna's house, Darren happened to move both his hands to the bottom of the steering wheel (and out of Chloe's view). From the backseat we heard:
"Daddy! Put your hands back, or the car will tip over! You have to keep your hands on the steering wheel." He promptly complied, but then moved his hands back, just to bug her. She admonished him again, and proceeded to lecture him for the next five minutes, peppering her diatribe with statements like "You have to listen to me!", and "It's not safe!". I guess she hears that a lot :p
Often she'll also tell us that we're driving too fast (regardless of the speed at which we're travelling) or that the light is red, and we must stop (as in, immediately, even if we're not yet at the intersection).
Good to know that she's concerned with traffic safety at this young age.

11 days and counting!
Chloe asked why we were packing stuff into boxes, so we sat her down and explained that we're moving to a new house. We assured her that it was for all of us (including Ginger and Bella) but kept it quite simple. Each day we ask her, and she tells us that we're going to the "other house", and that Jacques, Bongo, Sheep... (all her "guys" aka dolls and stuffies) are coming too.
We've yet to tell her that she'll be going to a new daycare too, but that doesn't start until September 2nd, so we'll do it after we're in the new house.

Smooch!
Just after Dare and I shared a quick kiss:
"What are you doing, guys?"
"Kissing"
"Oh. Are you going to work?"
"Nope, but it's almost time for dinner."
"Why are you kissing?"
"Because we love each other."
"Oh. Okay."

"I'm a duck."
"A monkey."
"A crow."
"A dog."
"A fish."
You get the idea. Chloe likes to tell us that she's a certain animal, and of course has to sound and act like that animal. Her crow is spot on.

We're back!
We got back last night. Five days and four nights of camping. It went really well, and Chloe had a blast. Photos to come!
