Chloe: Okay Mommy, tonight you're going to sleep in my bed, and then get up and go to daycare and play.
Me: What are you going to do tomorrow?
Chloe: I'm going to go to work.
Me: What will you do there?
Chloe: Work on computers. Then I'll come and get you.
Me: Okay, sounds good!

Compared to one month old:
Do we look alike? I always thought my eyes were dark brown. I guess not, compared to Chloe's!

Chloe: I got a high five today at daycare today.
Darren: That's great. What for?
Chloe: I said that Stephen Harper is in Canada.
us: ......
Darren: Who?
Chloe: Stephen Harper. He's in Canada.
Me: Who's Stephen Harper?
Chloe: He's...um...
Me: The Prime Minster of Canada?
Chloe: Yes. In Canada. I got a high five.
Me: I didn't realize you were studying politics at daycare today.

When I grow smaller...

...I'll read baby books and use a soother.

...I'll be a baby and not a big girl.

When you grow smaller, you'll be my baby!

Awwww.

Chloe: "Mommy, do you know who my bestest friend forever and ever, ever, ever is?"
Me: "No, who?"
"Daddy."
"Not me?"
"Yes, you too. You and me and Daddy. Forever and ever."

Awwww.

Me: "What about kids, do you have any best friends that are kids?"
Chloe: "Yes! Sabine and Markus."

Awwww.

A future at the Wonka Factory?

Chloe's favourite movie is Horton Hears a Who, and her favourite character is Katie (same as me!). Katie's one line is the movie is:

"In my world, everyone's a pony. And they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies!"

Of course Chloe thinks this is hilarious, and we talk about it often. So last week I asked her what a rainbow tastes like. Her immediate answer: "Jellybeans!" I think she's right :)
