11 days and counting!

Chloe asked why we were packing stuff into boxes, so we sat her down and explained that we're moving to a new house. We assured her that it was for all of us (including Ginger and Bella) but kept it quite simple. Each day we ask her, and she tells us that we're going to the "other house", and that Jacques, Bongo, Sheep... (all her "guys" aka dolls and stuffies) are coming too.

We've yet to tell her that she'll be going to a new daycare too, but that doesn't start until September 2nd, so we'll do it after we're in the new house.

A visit with Old Nuni

Darren's Nan (Old Nuni to Chloe), Auntie Annie, and Auntie Lee came down for a visit.

"Kissing"
"Oh. Are you going to work?"
"Nope, but it's almost time for dinner."
"Why are you kissing?"
"Because we love each other."
"Oh. Okay."

"Do you want more chicken?"

"No thank you. That's fine. I ate it all. It's in my tummy."

"I'm a duck."

"A monkey."
"A crow."
"A dog."
"A fish."

You get the idea. Chloe likes to tell us that she's a certain animal, and of course has to sound and act like that animal. Her crow is spot on.

We're back!

We got back last night. Five days and four nights of camping. It went really well, and Chloe had a blast. Photos to come!
