London calling!

Westminster Abbey. It was simply amazing. I went alone, and got quite emotional several times, especially at the end, over the grave of the unknown warrior. It's amazing to think of all the people buried there - Elizabeth I, Chaucer, Newton, Darwin, Dickens... You can't take photos inside, but it's just breath-taking. I wanted to feel it all, it's all so old and beautiful.


The London Eye. There's no way I'd go up in that thing. It moves really slow, and is quite high, as you can see. I have no problem with high rides, but they have to move fast. If I'm going slow enough to realize how high I am, I'm not too happy!

The Rosetta Stone. !!!!! I was fascinated with hieroglyphics when I was a kid, and loved reading about this amazing piece of history. There's a replica elsewhere in the museum, which you're allowed to touch, and even that was thrilling!


I'm now stuck back in "exciting" Birmingham, and then fly home Wednesday. Not soon enough, I miss my baby, husband, and even the cats!
